workshop designed to tune your heart to the ethics and lifestyle of the working cowboy. You'll learn the tools of the trade to create the cowboy style verse, a little of bit of history, and get to explore Lamesa's own museum of local artifacts and select a piece of history to write about using the techniques you'll learn at Leacy's workshop. Or maybe you'll want to try a little freestyle of your own. We plan to capture pictures of the museum pieces and the poems written about them in the Dal Paso Museum Chapbook created for this special occasion.

Ken Jones

will present a workshop for Poetry Therapy, using writing poetry as a therapeutic tool, a non-traditional method of incorporating poetry as a portal for healing and personal growth. Poetry is being used in institutional settings, community mental health centers, even as support for chemical dependency or alcoholism. Paricipate in a group and understand more about the hands on use of poetry that can be applied to these settings.

Dr. Charles Taylor

will present a workshop on poetry in the wilderness or as an environmental expression. His workshop will be at the boys club Lake at of the pavillions.

Ric Williams
