Registration is $10.00 for anyone who plans to attend. We ask that you register to help us with our plans for the events and the cook-out. Don't forget our downhome TexasBAR-B-Q a donation is appreciated, we don't want anyone to go hungry, so any amount you contribute will help. Pre-registration of $25.00 will include a T shirt .

The festival will begin on Friday evening. Steve Brooks will be at the Sky Vue Drive Inn for a pre-show event on the ramp house roof where Don Walser and Buddy Holly both got their start. 7:00 pm at the Lamesa Park on the Square, downtown Lamesa, Edgar Pace, Percussionist/Poet; Barbara Ann, the Pink Poet, and Brad Odom, Levelland Acoustical guitarist, and Nikki Lee of Lamesa will open for the Coyote Poets of the Universe from Denver, Colorado, a ten member group of poet musicians. Coffee and Donuts will be available starting about 8am.
Forrest Fest fournishes a tree to be planted in the park each year. We will begin with the traditional tree dedication at 10:00am hosted by Cathy Martin of Abilene, Texas.
BBQ will begin at 11:30am for participants,
1:30pm to 2:30 pm Roan Irish:The West Texas Celtic ensemble Roan Irish (Gaelic for "Island of the Seals")
An interactive show is planned to promote awareness of the Celtic heritage and culture on the South Plains, Llano Estacado, and West Texas, while encouraging audience participation through traditional Irish and Scottish song and dance.
Roan Inish will perform a wide variety of invigorating Irish, Scottish, and American Civil War jigs, slip jigs, reels, slides, slow airs, hornpipes, barn dances, and polkas on traditional and non-traditional instruments, while Kristen Williamson will display an array of Irish dances including, hard and soft shoe step dancing. In addition, Roan Inish will weave the occasional traditional heroic Gaelic and Irish Revolt ballad or Irish Pub song, throughout the performance.
