Forrest Fest is an annual poetry, music and art festival on the South Plains of west Texas in its eighth year. Our goal is to promote literary access to a culturally diverse economically disadvantaged community while providing work opportunities for poets and musicians from academia to the streets. We are a 501(C)3 and a drug and alcohol free event.

Forrest Fest funding comes from Texas Commission on the Arts, City of Lamesa, J.P. Morgan Chase, 1st United Bank of Lamesa, Lamesa National Bank, 1st Ag Bank of Lamesa, United Supermarkets, mythopoetry, Tascosa Office Supply, and from private donors and volunteers. We are grateful for all the support from local and regional entities.
